In 2024, Dan and Keeyan launched KSDA with a bold vision: to redefine consulting as a force for meaningful impact.
For too long, consulting has been plagued by bloated budgets and misplaced priorities—million-dollar studies on trivial matters or firms profiting from both sides of the same issue, like designing anti-tobacco campaigns while lobbying for big tobacco. These practices have tarnished the reputation of a once-respected profession. KSDA was created to break away from this legacy and offer a fresh, values-driven approach.
At KSDA, we only take on work that we believe truly matters. Our success is directly tied to our clients’ success, as a significant portion of our revenue comes from outcome-based fees. This alignment ensures that we are fully invested in achieving results that save, profit, or elevate our clients.
Our innovative structure is built around multiple pods of expert consultants, each specializing in their respective fields. Rather than rigid hierarchies or full-time commitments, we bring in tolnp talent on an ad-hoc basis, enabling us to draw on their deep expertise while keeping their work grounded in real-world practice. While our pods are empowered to present diverse ideas and solutions, they collaborate seamlessly to deliver the best outcomes for our clients, ensuring innovation and synergy at every step.

Launching The Firm
KSDA is launching in the fourth quarter of 2025 (November, 2025).
Our team is currently led by Daniel Lis, Managing Partner, and Keeyan Ravanshid, the firm’s Founder, and the Chairman of the Board.
Our initial team will feature an expert network of over 60 professionals from different disciplines, all ready to share their experience, knowledge, and advice with our clients.
What makes KSDA different?

Consulting firms have historically taken on any work that is offered to them, no matter how trivial or contrary to the public interest that such work may be.
Our constituting documents oblige us to evaluate every mandate: is the problem solvable with common sense, or does it hurt any single demographic at the expense of helping another (including our clients)? If so, count us out.
Aligning our incentives with outcomes.
The world’s top financial firms have long thrived by aligning their compensation structures (pay, equity compensation, etc.) with the performance of their investment strategies.
Why not create incentives for advisory firms to deliver positive outcomes for clients? We’re doing just that – ensuring that our words are as good as our bonds.

Using expert networks is nothing new, but engaging an expert network with internally competitive (but not duplicitous) procurement processes, means that our clients benefit from a creative problem-solving exercise before even the beginning of an advisory mandate.
Keeping fees under control.
Runaway fees are far too common in the consulting industry. KSDA is co-investing in many of the firms we consult with – thus ensuring that we are incentivized to deliver work that actually improves the performance of the firms that hire us – and not our own pockets.
